Police reports say the LSU fratnerity pledge who died last month may have been forced to drink an excessive amount of alcohol as part of an inititation ritual called “Bible Study.” Phi Delta Theta pledges who gave incorrect answers to questions about the frat were forced to drink. Officials believe 18-year-old Maxwell Gruver’s death is a possible hazing incident.

The National Hurricane Center is watching an area of low pressure in the southwestern Caribbean Sea, which has a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression as it moves toward the Gulf of Mexico. Senior hurricane specialist Stacy Stewart says the disturbed weather will move north past Nicaragua and Honduras….

Search warrants regarding the death of an 18 year old LSU fraternity pledge indicate that Max Gruver may have taken part in a drinking quiz game the night before he died. Search warrants for the Phi Delta Theta house led police to seize several bottles of hard liquor, beer cans, and security cameras. According to the warrant Gruver’s death “appeared to be an overdose of alcoholic beverages.” The LSU student died on September 14th following a night of pledge activities.

After a vehicle crashed through a fence at the Slidell Municipal Airport police arrested 43 year old Kevin Bolton. Slidell Detective Daniel Seuzeneau (SUSAN-OH) says they received a call yesterday morning of a vehicle striking a utility pole. When police arrived says Bolton told authorities why he was in such a hurry.

Holly Pitre says she was hit with an intuition that Las Vegas could be a target for a terror attack. So as Jason Alden’s show started they backed away from the stage and that’s when gunshots rang out…

Two State Troopers have been demoted as a result of an investigation into a taxpayer funded side trip to Las Vegas. Derrell Williams and Rodney Hyatt were among State Troopers who attended a work conference in San Diego last year, but an investigation into that trip found the troopers racked up 19-thousand dollars in costs by also stopping in Las Vegas and at the Grand Canyon.

Shreveport Police have released the identity of a man killed in a shooting incident on Interstate 20 east early yesterday morning. They had already identified the driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old Kenyon Frazier who they say sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was sent to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The passenger who died is 22-year-old Dandre Brown. Authorities still aren’t sure who is responsible for the shootings and are asking for help from the public.

The person arrested in the deadly Ouachita Parish deputy-involved shooting has been identified. State Police is investigating and say the cops tried to pull over a Chrysler van around 5:30 in West Monroe, and the driver would not comply, pulled out a gun and then was shot and killed by deputies. The passenger, 35-year-old William Underwood, was later taken into custody and is facing multiple charges.
