The House will consider whether or not delivery services should be allowed to bring low alcohol content booze with their food to your front door. The LSU Board of Supervisors approved the contract today for new athletics director Scott Woodward. He’s the first LSU AD to make over one-million dollars a year. But LSU Vice President for Legal Affairs Thomas Skinner says only $525,000 of it comes from taxpayer dollars.

Bond has been set at 322-thousand dollars for Cajun Cannabis owner Travis DeYoung. He’s facing 17 counts of drug and weapon charges. The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s office arrested DeYoung during a traffic stop and CBD oil, gummies and mints were allegedly found in his vehicle. DeYoung’s CBD store on Johnston Street opened last weekend.

A Grambling student, 34-year-old Kendra Butler and her son, 14 year-old Remington Butler died yesterday from a powerful tornado that swept through Ruston in the early morning hours. trees are down, power lines mangled and several businesses are destroyed. A New Orleans Senator’s bill to rename the I-10 the “Who Dat Nation Highway” has it’s ambitions reduced to just some state line road signs after lawmakers discover the stretch of road has already been dedicated to veterans.
Winnfield Senator Gerald Long ultimately supported the bill, but not before raising questions about just how this kind of proposal makes us look to the rest of the nation.

Remington was a freshman at Ruston High School, while his mother was a student at Grambling State. The recovery from this storm is expected to take months.
