Prosecutors are still considering whether they’ll pursue the death penalties against a 27-year-old woman who has been indicted in the first-degree murder in the death of a six-month old child. Authorities say Hanna Nicole Barker helped the child’s mother stage a kidnapping of the child, who was later found in a ditch with severe burns covering 90-percent of the infant’s body.

The Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District is set to approve a contract today that will lead to the renovation of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. At today’s meeting, architectural renderings of the renovation will be made public. Phase one of the construction is expected to begin in January.
