Wildfires continue to burn in Beauregard parish, most notably the Tiger Island fire. The Louisiana Department of agriculture and Forestry Enforcement Division has determined the fire is a result of arson. LDAF agents are looking for the person responsible. If you have any information regarding the fire, contact Beauregard Parish Sheriff, the State fire marshall, or LDAF. The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign goes through the Labor Day weekend. Louisiana Highway Safety Commission Spokesperson Greg Fischer is encouraging drivers to be sober behind the wheel and says if you do drink, do it responsibly.

If you ARE hitting the road for Labor Day Weekend, Triple-A says expect to pay an average of $3.40 a gallon for regular gas in the Gulf south. Fuel analyst Don Redman says in Louisiana, Texas, and Alabama this weekend will see prices range between $3.30 and $3.40 a gallon of regular gas.
