The woman who has accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault in the 80′s has agreed, along with Kavanaugh, to testify about the alleged incident Thursday. This comes after a weekend of negotiations between the accuser, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s legal team and Judicial Committee members. Senator John Kennedy, a committee member, says before agreeing to the Thursday hearing, she was offered a few options.

It’s Voter Registration Week across the country as election officials will use this as an opportunity to get more people registered for the fall elections. Interim Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin says local races will drive up voter turnout in pockets of the state on November sixth…

The Saints are 2-1 after a thrilling 43-37 overtime victory over the Atlanta Falcons. The game had seven lead changes and New Orleans forced overtime with a touchdown with 1:15 left in regulation. Saints Coach Sean Payton says it was a hard fought victory….

The Saints went 80 yards on 15 plays and Quarterback Drew Brees won the game with a one-yard touchdown plunge over the goal line. It was the second rushing touchdown of the game for the 39-year-old Brees.

It was about a year ago when Troy came into Tiger Stadium and knocked off the LSU Tigers 24-21. The Bayou Bengals want to avoid that from happening again when they welcome Louisiana Tech to Baton Rouge tomorrow night. On Sunday, it’s Saints versus the Falcons. Starting nose tackle Tyeler Davison and linebacker Manti Teo have been ruled out for the game because of injuries.

A temporary restraining order issued by a St. Charles Parish judge clears the way for Andrew Robison to play football tonight for the Hahnville Tigers. The LHSAA has ruled Robison can’t play for Hahnville this season, because of violations that occurred when he transferred in from Vandebilt Catholic. Robison’s attorney, Michael Moyer, says the LHSAA is not taking into account all of the facts…

According to a report from NOLA.com, Hahnville has decided not to play Robison tonight. A full court hearing on the matter will take place Wednesday.

Hahnville and Destrehan is just one of several great games tonight. On C-S-T, you can watch a re-match of last year’s Division Three state championship game as Notre Dame visits Catholic High of New Iberia. The two teams are ranked 1-2 in the latest Class 2A poll.

In other action, Union Parish is at Many, Sterlington hosts Loyola Prep, Northwood visits North DeSoto and St. Thomas faces the defending Division One champs, Catholic High of Baton Rouge.

The Louisiana Workforce Commission says the number of people employed last month was the second-highest ever for an August, with 2.02 million taking home a pay check. L-W-C Executive Director Ava Dejoie says manufacturing continues to see the biggest job gains as that sector added 54-hundred jobs over the last year and there’s been an increase in the number of jobs related to the oil and gas industry

A Baton Rouge man will receive a court-ordered 185-thousand dollar settlement from McKinley High School, after he was ordered to do 200 push ups in 2015 for running late to band practice. While Louisiana’s unemployment rate worsened for a fifth straight month and reached five percent in August, a report from the Louisiana Workforce Commission indicates the number of people employed in August was 2.02 million, the second highest number for August in recorded history. L-W-C Director Ava Dejoie says any rise in unemployment can be attributed to a decline of jobs in the hospitality sector.

A matchup to watch in Sunday’s Saints-Falcons game is Atlanta wide receiver Julio Jones versus New Orleans cornerback Marshon Lattimore. The second-year defensive back knows he has his work cut out for him….

Tomorrow night at Cajun Field its UL Lafayette versus Coastal Carolina. Coastal has been displaced from their campus in Conway, South Carolina, because of Hurricane Florence and the flooding its left behind. They prepared for this game in St Augustine, Florida, practicing at three different high schools, while staying at the Renaissance Hotel and World Golf Village.

There are plenty of big high school football games tonight, Northwood at North DeSoto, Iota hosts Northwest and Catholic of New Iberia hosts Notre Dame in a matchup of the top two teams in Two-A.

A jury in Baton Rouge has awarded a former McKinley High School band member 185-thousand dollars in damages, because he was ordered to do 200 pushups for arriving late to marching band practice in 2014. The physical punishment led to a five-day hospital stay for Tristen Rushing.

New Orleans-based Via Link, which provides crisis intervention for many Louisiana residents who call the National Suicide Lifeline, could close in December, as it doesn’t have enough funding to keep up with the increased demand. Via Link CEO LaVondra Dobbs says they receive very little funding from the federal government.

Dobbs says donations are their main source of funding, but they are also seeing if they can work out a 175-thousand contract with the Louisiana Department of Health.

A federal appeals court has upheld a lower court’s ruling that blocks Louisiana from enforcing a law that prohibits women under the age of 21 from working as an exotic dancer at a strip club. The state legislature passed a law in 2016 requiring a minimum age of 21 for strippers at clubs. Lawmakers will have to rewrite the legislation next year.

Attorney David Moyer has successfully received a temporary restraining order that prohibits the LHSAA from punishing Hahnville if quarterback Andrew Robison plays tonight against rival Destrehan. The LHSAA says because of recruiting violations Robison can’t play for the Tigers this season, but Moyer says the evidence provided by the LHSAA doesn’t justify the punishment…

Via Link in New Orleans is the contact center for many people in Louisiana who call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, but the organization says it doesn’t have enough money to keep up with the increasing demand and may have to close in December. ViaLink CEO LaVondra Dobbs says if that happens, calls to the suicide prevention hotline will go to a backup center, which could result in a 45-minute wait time…

Former UL Lafayette softball coach Michael Lotief has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the university. The suit claims a breach of contract, defamation and accuses the university of gender inequity. But the school says Lotief was dismissed for a physical and verbal attack of a female co-worker and the use of sexually violent language and physical abuse towards former players.

A man has told his story to a New Orleans TV station that he was sexually assaulted by a school janitor at Jesuit High School and a priest watched as the act unfolded in the 1970s. Richard Windmann says he was 12-years-old at the time. And 11 men have filed a suit against the Lafayette Diocese allegeding sex abuse from the late priest Kenneth Morvant in the 1970s.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office recently issued its 10 millionth patent. But, over the past five years, Louisiana was issued the fifth lowest number of patents per capita compared to other states. Content Strategist at Digital Third Coast Roxy Fata says that makes the Bayou State one of the least innovative states..

The Gueydan Duck Festival has kicked off, bringing sportsmen from around the world to the small town known as the Duck Capital of America. The Vermilion Parish town has been putting on the festival for 41 years. Festival President Jerrod Broussard says it’s the place to be for duck hunters.
