Senior right-hander Zac Cowan and sophomore left-hander Cooper Williams combined to give up eight runs on eight hits. The Tigers will play their sixth game in eight days tomorrow against UL-Lafayette.

The Louisiana Tech baseball team looks to bounce back against Arkansas State tonight after being swept by Southern Miss last weekend. Tech was without junior catcher Hayden Gustavson this weekend, but head coach Lane Burroughs believes the Bulldogs will be dangerous when at full strength.

Former Saints offensive lineman Will Clapp is joining the team’s coaching staff as an offensive assistant. Clapp announced his retirement last week after an eight-year NFL career.

The Southeastern Conference honored four LSU women’s basketball players in its annual postseason awards on Tuesday morning. Junior guard MiLaysia Fulwiley was named SEC Sixth Woman of the Year, becoming just the third player in program history to earn the honor, joining Sylvia Fowles and Allison Hightower. Senior guard Flau’jae Johnson and junior guard Mikaylah Williams were both selected to the All-SEC First Team, while freshman forward ZaKiyah Johnson earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team.

The LSU men’s basketball team will take on Auburn tonight at 9 p.m.

The UL-Lafayette men’s basketball team faces Georgia State in the first round of the Sun Belt Tournament tonight at 5 p.m. ULM will play Old Dominion immediately afterward.

UL-Lafayette graduate student left-handed pitcher Andrew Hermann was named as the Sun Belt pitcher of the week after his complete-game, one-hit shutout against UC San Diego.

The LSU baseball team improved to 11-1 yesterday afternoon with a three-to-nothing win over Dartmouth. It was not a great weekend for LSU’s bats. The Tigers scored just 11 runs over the last three games after scoring 34 runs in three games in Jacksonville. Jake Brown, who homered for the fifth time on the season on Sunday, is confident the bats will come back around…

LSU hosts Northeastern tonight at 6:30 to conclude the wrap-around series. The Tigers remained as the No. 2 team in this week’s D1baseball rankings.

LSU football coach Lane Kiffin will ride in his second parade in a month on Saturday, March 14, in Baton Rouge at the St. Patrick’s Day parade with comedian Theo Von. The parade begins at 11 a.m. and will ride through the Hundred Oaks neighborhood and Perkins Road overpass area in town.

The LSU women’s basketball team concluded the regular season with a 72-63 win over Mississippi State yesterday.  Junior guard Mikaylah Williams recorded her third consecutive double-double with a season-high 26 points and career-high 15 rebounds in the win. Head coach Kim Mulkey said allowing Williams to play inside recently has boosted her productivity.

The Tigers stayed put as the No. 6 team in this week’s AP Top 25 Poll. They came in as a two-seed and the No. 7 overall team in the latest NCAA Tournament projections by ESPN Bracketologist Charlie Crème.

The McNeese men’s basketball team will take on Nicholls in Thibodaux tonight in their last regular-season game of the year. Tipoff is at 6:30 p.m.

UNO men’s basketball will host Southeastern in the regular-season finale tonight at 7 p.m.

The sixth-ranked LSU women’s basketball team capped off senior night with an 89-73 win over Tennessee last night. Junior guard Mikaylah Williams recorded a double-double, as she led the team with a team-high 20 points and 10 rebounds. In her final regular-season home game at LSU, Flau’jae Johnson scored 10 points and had three rebounds. Johnson, who is also a successful hip-hop artist, says she’s been able to accomplish both basketball and music through hard work.

Last night, the Louisiana Tech men’s basketball team defeated Missouri State 72-70 to improve to 16-12 on the year. Junior guard DJ Dudley scored 27 points in the win.

The second-ranked LSU baseball team looks to bounce back tonight against Dartmouth after suffering its first loss of the season to McNeese on Tuesday. The Tigers will most likely be without Chris Stanfield this weekend as he continues to deal with a hand injury. Even without Stanfield, LSU is lighting up the scoreboard, averaging 11.4 runs a game. Coach Jay Johnson says multiple players have done a good job stepping up and producing in his absence.

Louisiana Tech baseball looks to keep its four-game winning streak going as the Bulldogs play host to twelfth-ranked Southern Miss this weekend. First pitch on Friday is at 6 p.m.

The UL-Lafayette baseball team is one of the hottest teams in the country as the Cajuns are riding a seven-game winning streak. The Cajuns will host UC San Diego this weekend and first pitch tonight is at 6 p.m.

Governor Jeff Landry announced on his “X” account today that A-T-and-T is investing 45-million dollars to upgrade the network inside Tiger Stadium before the 2026 season. AT&T president David Aubrey says they are proud to work with LSU to bring state-of-the-art connectivity to college football’s greatest venue…

LSU baseball coach Jay Johnson provided updates on sophomore catcher Cade Arrambide and senior outfielder Chris Stanfield. Arrambide, who left Tuesday’s game against McNeese with a foot injury, is expected to play this weekend. Johnson said Stanfield is recovering from a hand injury but does not anticipate him playing this weekend.

New Orleans Saints veteran center Will Clapp has announced he’s retiring after eight seasons in the NFL. Clapp suffered a foot injury in the preseason, which caused him to mis the entire 2025 season. The New Orleans native played six of his eight seasons with the Saints.

NFL combine workouts begin today, and LSU wide receivers Aaron Anderson, Barion Brown, Chris Hilton Jr., and Zavion Thomas will have the opportunity to boost their draft stocks after the Tigers struggled offensively in 2025. Mike Detillier of WWL Radio says he believes Anderson is the most NFL-ready of the group.

Devonta Lee, a former standout wide receiver at LSU, Louisiana Tech, and Amite High, has died after battling bone cancer.

The LSU men’s basketball team secured its first win since January after defeating Ole Miss 106-99 in double overtime last night. With the win, the Tigers improved to 15-and-13 on the year.

The Louisiana Tech men’s basketball team will host Missouri State tonight at 6:30 p.m.

The McNeese Cowboys handed second-ranked LSU its first loss of the season as the Pokes held on for a 7- 6 win at Alex Box Stadium Tuesday. The Tigers gave up 11 free passes in the loss, including six walks and five hit batters.  Sophomore catcher Cade Arrambide exited the game in the fourth inning with a foot injury, and his status for this weekend’s series is up in the air. LSU is now 8-and-1 on the year, while McNeese improved to 3-and-5.

The Louisiana Tech baseball team secured a 5-2 win over Northwestern State last night. Freshman right-hander Thomas Allen earned the win after tossing two scoreless innings.

The UL-Lafayette baseball team won its sixth straight game last night after shutting out Kansas State 1-0 at the Tigue. The Cajuns will host the Wildcats again at 6 p.m. tonight.

ULM Athletics has announced a jersey patch partnership with Samaritan’s Purse. Samaritan’s Purse is a Christian relief and evangelism organization based in Boone, North Carolina.

The Louisiana Tech women’s basketball team clinched the regular-season Conference USA title with its win over Kennesaw State Saturday. Head coach Brooke Stoehr said winning the program’s 38th conference title was not easy. She credits her team’s resilience throughout the long season.

The UL men’s basketball team fell to 7-and-10 in the Sun Belt with a 78-59 loss to Troy last night.

The LSU men’s basketball team looks to avoid its seventh straight loss tonight as the Tigers face Ole Miss in Oxford at 8 p.m. tonight.

According to Matt Belinson of The Ruston Leader, Grambling State head football coach Mickey Joseph has signed a two-year contract extension through 2027. The deal includes option years for 2028 and 2029, with the 2029 option becoming available if Joseph achieves eight wins in a season.

UL-Lafayette baseball swept Maryland this weekend and the Cajuns look to keep things hot tonight as they host Kansas State at 6 p.m. Through seven games, freshman shortstop Blaze Rodriguez leads the team with a .370 batting average.  Rodriguez walked things off for the Cajuns twice this weekend, and head coach Matt Deggs says he’s been a great addition.

Louisiana Tech baseball looks to win its fourth straight game tonight as the Bulldogs host Northwestern State at 6 p.m.

Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray is set to make his season debut against the Warriors tonight. Murray spent the last year recovering from a torn Achilles and says that with 24 games left, New Orleans will have an opportunity to build some momentum going into next season.

Last night, the McNeese men’s basketball team defeated Texas Rio Grande Valley 75-68 to win its sixth straight game. After Stephen F. Austin’s loss to UNO last night, the Cowboys are only one game behind first place in the Southland.

The UL basketball team is in Alabama to take on Troy tonight at 6 p.m.

The LSU women’s basketball team moved up to No. 6 in this week’s AP Top 25. LSU climbed up one spot after picking up wins over 19th-ranked Ole Miss and Missouri last week. The Lady Tigers will host Tennessee on Thursday for Senior Night.

Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray is set to make his season debut tomorrow against the Golden State Warriors. Murray has spent the past year recovering from an Achilles tear that he suffered on Jan. 31 of last year.

Louisiana Tech sophomore first baseman Trey Hawsey was named Conference USA Hitter of the Week after batting .636 at the Grind City Classic in Memphis this weekend. Hawsey had two doubles and one homer with 5 RBIs. The Bulldogs won all three of their games in Memphis and will host Northwestern State on Tuesday.

UL-Lafayette completed a three-game sweep of Maryland with a 15-inning win over the Terrapins. The Cajuns will host Kansas State on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

The McNeese men’s basketball team will host Texas Rio Grande Valley tonight at 6:30 p.m. The Cowboys sit second in the Southland and two games behind Stephen F. Austin.

UNO looks to win its third straight game tonight as the Privateers are at Stephen F. Austin. Tipoff is at 6:30 p.m.

Nicholls looks to get back in the win streak tonight as the Colonels are in Texas to face Lamar at 6 p.m.

The second-ranked LSU gymnastics team is in Norman to face top-ranked Oklahoma tonight at eight p.m. The Tigers defeated the Sooners last year in Baton Rouge, and former LSU Gymnastics head coach D-D Breaux expects the meet to be an entertaining one.

Louisiana Tech baseball started its weekend in Memphis off with a 6-0 win over Ohio State. Redshirt junior Zeb Rudell and sophomore first baseman Trey Hawsey hit solo home runs in the win. Junior right-hander Declan Dahl earned the win on the mound after only allowing four hits and striking out three in five innings of work. With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 5-1. Tech will face Memphis at noon and Ohio State at 5 tomorrow.

Earlier today, ULM baseball fell 6-4 to Northern Kentucky.

The seventh-ranked LSU women’s basketball team picked up a 78-70 win against seventeenth-ranked Ole Miss last night. The Tigers finished the game on a 19-1 run and held the Rebels to 0-of-17 shooting in the fourth quarter. LSU trailed by as many as 13 points late in the third quarter. Junior guard MiLaysia Fulwiley says the Tigers’ ability to come back on the road in the fourth quarter speaks volumes.

The Lady Tigers will host Missouri on Sunday at 3 p.m.

The LSU men’s basketball team will host 25th-ranked Alabama tomorrow at 5 p.m. Louisiana Tech men’s basketball will be at Kennesaw State tomorrow at 4 p.m. while UL-Lafayette will host Texas State in its last home game of the season tomorrow at noon.

UL Lafayette baseball will host Maryland in a three-game series, starting tonight at 6 p.m.  McNeese baseball will host Kansas in a three-game series this weekend.

Last night, the seventh-ranked LSU women’s basketball team defeated 17th-ranked Ole Miss, 78-70, in Oxford. The Lady Tigers finished the game on a 19-1 run and held the Rebels to 0-of-17 shooting in the fourth quarter. Junior guard MiLasysia Fulwiley scored a career-high 26 points and added seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks and three steals.

The LSU baseball team is in Jacksonville this weekend for the Live Like Lou Classic. The Tigers have played in early-season tournaments in Texas for the last four seasons. Johnson believes playing in Jacksonville this weekend could help with recruiting in the state of Florida.

The Tigers will kick the tournament off against Indiana at 1 p.m. Sophomore right-hander Casan Evans will start for LSU.

Last night, the Louisiana Tech women’s basketball team beat Jacksonville State 58-57 to win its 13th straight game. With a win at Kennesaw State tomorrow, the Lady Techsters would win at least a share of the Conference-USA regular-season title.

The McNeese Women’s basketball team clinched at least a share of the Southland Conference regular-season title last night after defeating Texas Rio Valley Grande 60-53. It was the Cowgirls’ 16th straight win. McNeese will host Texas A&M Corpus-Christi tomorrow at 1 p.m.

The seventh-ranked Lady Tigers look to get back in the win column tonight when they take on 17th-ranked Ole Miss in Oxford at 8 p.m. LSU looks to avenge last year’s loss to Ole Miss on senior night. Cory Diaz of the USA Today Network believes LSU will win the remainder of its regular-season games, and if the Tigers do win out, Diaz says it would likely set up a rematch with South Carolina in the SEC Tournament.

The LSU baseball team defeated Nicholls 12-1 in eight innings yesterday to remain unbeaten. Sophomore infielder John Pearson hit a walk-off three-run homer, and junior third baseman Trent Caraway hit a grand slam in the win. Senior right-hander Zac Cowan picked up the win while freshman right-hander Raegan Ricken earned the save.

The UL-Lafayette men’s basketball team looks to avoid its third straight loss tonight as the Cajuns host Arkansas State at 7 p.m.

“The Fighting Tiger,” a documentary released on the SEC Network, highlights legendary gymnastics coach D-D Breaux and how she built LSU’s program from the ground up. The documentary shows how Breaux fought to keep the gymnastics program alive after several athletic directors threatened to cut the program. LSU gymnastics finally started to get the support it needed when Skip Bertman became athletic director in 2001. Breaux says Bertman supported her when no one else did on campus.

The McNeese women’s basketball team goes for their 16th straight win tonight as the Cowgirls host Texas Rio Grande Valley at 6:30 p.m.

The Lady Techsters will look to win their 13th straight game tonight when they play Jacksonville State in Alabama at 6:30 p.m. Tech came in as a 13-seed in the latest projected field-of-64.
