This Saturday’s LSU-Alabama game has been postponed, because of a coronavirus outbreak with the Fighting Tigers football team. It remains to be seen if the game can still be played this season, but it will take the shuffling around of other games, since the Tigers do not have another by off week before the SEC Championship game on December 19th.

And there’s the situation with freshman LSU wide receiver Koy Moore, who claims officers harassed him on Saturday night as they suspected he was in possession of a gun and drugs. Three Baton Rouge Police Officers have been placed on administrative leave. Athletics Director Scott Woodward called it a troubling encounter, while Coach Ed Orgeron says…

The LSU-Alabama game is not the only SEC contest postponed for this weekend. Texas A-and-M versus Tennessee will not be played because of a COVID-outbreaking involving the Aggies football team. On Monday, it was announced Saturday’s Mississippi State-Auburn game has been tentatively moved to December 12th.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the NFL owners have approved a proposal to add two playoff teams, one in each conference, in case regular-season games get canceled. That means there will be eight playoff teams in each conference and the top seed would not get a bye.

The NBA and its players’ association have agreed to begin a shortened 72-game regular season on December 22nd. The NBA Draft is set for Wednesday, November 18th and then free agency would begin on November 20th. The salary cap and luxury tax remain unchanged from last season.
