It’s been nine days since Hurricane Zeta struck southeast Louisiana, knocking out power to almost half a million people in the state before it moved across the southeast. Power has been restored to a majority of the area but in remote areas, approximately 9-thousand remain without power. Governor John Bel Edwards thanked utility crews for their hard work and offered encouraging news.

An Acadiana family is looking for answers after their teenage son’s body was found in a sugarcane field. Reports say the body of 15-year old Quawan “Bobby” Charles was locate by a law enforcement drone on Monday in Loureauville. Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Katherine Breaux asks anyone with information to call them at 337-369-3711

New Orleans officials announce the city is not planning to cancel Mardi Gras 2021 so far, but warns it will be “different”. A committee formed to investigate avenues for a pandemic Mardi Gras made recommendations like lower alcohol consumption and mandatory mask-wearing on floats and routes. Mardi Gras Guide Publisher Arthur Hardy warns we’re tight on time and krewes must get explicit guidance on what the season will look like.

The A & E television series “Nightwatch” returns to New Orleans. Filming of the twenty-five-episode reality series began filming this week and is expected to continue into 2021. Nightwatch follows New Orleans EMS paramedics and EMTs on their overnight shift from 4 pm until 4 am. Nightwatch premiered in January of 2015 and ran for 3 seasons and was just once again greenlighted.
