LSU will play Auburn on the road on Saturday and freshman quarterback T.J. Finley might once again be leading the Tigers offense.  Starting quarterback Myles Brennan continues to deal with the abdominal injury that he suffered during LSU’s loss to Missouri.  Finley seems to have earned the trust of the team after his great performance against South Carolina where he threw for 265 yards and 2 touchdowns, while adding another touchdown on the ground.  Coach Ed Orgeron says that despite the Finley’s good numbers, his poise is what stood out the most.

The New Orleans Saints continue to battle injuries of their own as a number of key players have gone down with injuries, including star receiver Michael Thomas, who has not played since week one.  Thomas and fellow Wide Receiver Emmanuel Sanders were both absent for last week’s contest against the panthers and have not yet returned to practice.  Thomas is suffering from a high ankle sprain while Sanders remains on the Covid-19 list after his positive test last week.  Both players are questionable for the Saints’ upcoming game against the Chicago bears.

UL-Lafayette is on the road again this Saturday against Texas State after traveling to UAB and snapping the Blazer’s 21 game home win streak a week ago.  The Ragin’ Cajuns are 4-1 on the season, but head coach Billy Napier says there is still room for improvement.
