A hurricane warning is in effect from Morgan City to the Mississippi/Alabama border as residents prepare for the fifth named storm of the season to impact the Bayou State. State Climatologist Barry Keim says most of the models are in agreement on Zeta’s path as the cone of uncertainty begins to narrow.

Southeastern Louisiana coastal parishes are making preps for what’s expected to be Hurricane Zeta’s arrival Wednesday night. Lieutenant Brennan Matherne with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office says they are expecting significant winds to be the biggest impact from this storm. Lt. Matherne advises residents to prepare today and tie down any loose furniture around their home.
