LSU and U-L Lafayette both say they are monitoring the track of Hurricane Delta, which is expected to make landfall in Louisiana as a hurricane on Saturday morning. The Cajuns host Coastal Carolina at 11 AM, while the Bayou Bengals take on Missouri in Tiger Stadium at 8 PM.

If they play on Saturday, The 17th ranked Tigers will get back starting defensive tackle Glen Logan after a two-game suspension. Coach Ed Orgeron says he’s been practicing every day…

Orgeron hopes running back Chris Curry will be back this weekend after missing the Vandy game with an injury. He says offensive guard Ed Ingram is questionable.

In Sunday’s win over Detroit, the Saints got great contributions from their two running backs, Alvin Kamara and Latavius Murray. The two combined for 202 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns. Murray on feeding off of Kamara

In the high school football polls, the Class 5A champion Acadiana Wreckin Rams are ranked number one after a shutting out defending Division Three champion in the season opener. Four-time champion Edna Karr is ranked number one in Four-A, St. James is ranked number one in 3A, Ferriday is number one in Two-A and Ouachita Christian is the top-ranked team in One-A. Many games this week are moving to Wednesday and Thursday to avoid Hurricane Delta.
