The legal wrangling over the Common Core Curriculum continues, as attorney Jimmy Faircloth has filed a petition in state court on behalf of Governor Bobby Jindal to stop the testing. Faircloth says that Common Core calling the shots on state testing violates the law…:

The LSU Alumni Association President is speaking out about a lawsuit filed on Friday where it is alleged he offered lifetime payoffs to an female employee with whom he reportedly having a sexual relationship. In a statement released today, Dr. Charlie Roberts said he was “blindsided” by the accusations, and responded that the charges of him trying to pay off Kay Heath – when she was let go – are false.

A Cameron Parish Jail inmate is back in custody after a massive overnight search following his escape last night. Sheriff Ron Johnson says 45 year-old James Lacombe had some outside help in getting out, but he also believes there was some human error on the prison end…:

Johnson says Lacombe had a long criminal history, so they’re glad to have him back behind bars.
