President Donald Trump is expected to announce today that Louisiana native Amy Coney Barrett is his nomination to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court. Barrett is 48-years-old, the oldest of seven children, and grew up in Old Metairie. Barrett currently serves as a federal appeals court judge in Chicago.

Many central Louisiana Suddenlink customers still don’t have internet, phone, and TV service since Hurricane Laura. Matt Doyle has the story.

Entergy Louisiana estimates the cost to restore power following Hurricane Laura is one-point-four billion dollars. CEO Phillip May says 18-hundred transmission towers were damaged or destroyed and the number of distribution poles lost is only second to Hurricane Rita.

Even though legislators have passed the legislation to allow online fantasy sports betting in parishes that have approved the activity Lousiana residents still can’t play. Crowley Representative John Stefanski says the Gaming Control Board has yet to finalize the rules…
