The House Education Committee meets this morning with a session laser-focused on the future of fall high school athletics.
Chairman Ray Garofalo says the committee has been working with the LHSAA, BESE, the Department of Health, and other stakeholders to set a firm date for when contact practices and games can resume.

LSU football coach Ed Orgeron has been placed on the Bobby Dodd watch List. The Dodd award is given to the National coach of the year. Orgeron and Clemson Coach Dabo Swinney were finalists in 2019. Also on the list is Alabama coach Nick Saban and Virginia Coach Bronco Mendenhall. Orgeron won 7 national awards in 2019 as he lead the Tigers to an undefeated season and a national championship.
