College football resumed last night with two games The University of Alabama Birmingham defeated Central Arkansas St. 45-35. Southern Mississippi fell to South Alabama 32-21. College football resumes on Saturday with six games scheduled. No Louisiana teams are on that schedule.

LSU football coach Ed Orgeron has been placed on the Bobby Dodd watch List. The Dodd award is given to the National coach of the year. Orgeron and Clemson Coach Dabo Swinney were finalists in 2019. Also on the list is Alabama coach Nick Saban and Virginia Coach Bronco Mendenhall. Orgeron won 7 national awards in 2019 as he lead the Tigers to an undefeated season and a national championship.

The Buccanneers are reportedly signing running back Leonard Fournette, who was cut by Jacksonville earlier this week.
The Associated Press is reporting the NCAA will furlough its entire staff, that’s about 600 employees, for three to eight weeks, starting on September 21st The furloughs will not affect senior executives.
