Our Lady of the Lake infectious disease expert Dr. Catherine O’Neal says it is not safe to have fall high school sports right now. O’Neal says before high school sports can resume the state needs to prove it can reopen schools without shutting communities down because of outbreaks.

High school football is set to resume October 8th, but the LHSAA says the state will have to be in Phase Three for that to happen.

Saints all-pro kick returner Deonte Harris has been activated from the reserve-COVID 19 list. The second-year pro reportedly had a false positive test result, which put him on the list.

Tonight at 6 PM, the SEC releases its new football schedule for the 2020 season. LSU and the rest of the teams in the SEC are expected to kick off the season on September 26th.
