The state’s legislative auditor debunks the claims of duplicate COVID-19 cases that have led some to believe the coronavirus outbreak data is being presented in a manner to be more alarming than it is.  Legislative Auditor Daryl Purpera says the Louisiana Department of Health’s online dashboard is accurate.

A 24-year-old Lincoln Parish man is dead after being shot at a party of three to four hundred people. Lincoln Parish Sheriff Sgt. Matthew Henderson says it’s highly likely some useful information that could lead to an arrest was captured on some of the party-goers phones.

Local reports say there were at least 100 cars lining the road leading up to the party.

The father of an East Baton Rouge Sheriff Deputy that was severely injured in 2016 during an ambush makes a video announcement concerning his son.

The Big Ten is the first major conference to back out of fall sports, and reports are circulating that soon other conferences will join in. The SEC is holding a meeting to discuss the issue today. No word on how the Sun Belt Conference might respond, and Ragin Cajuns’ coach Billy Napier says as of now it’s business as usual.
