The newest COVID-19 numbers from the state health department show an increase in deaths by 61 for the day and cases up by 15-hundred. Hospitalizations have decreased by 65 and vent usage down by 8. The state now has record 4,089 deaths from the coronavirus since March.

The University of Louisiana Monroe is seeking qualified adjunct instructors for the fall semester for courses like English, math, communications, psychology, and sociology. ULM VP of Academic Affairs Alberto Ruiz says the hiring push comes as the college is seeing an uptick in enrollment.
