If you go to Drew Brees’ Instagram page, you’ll find an emotional apology for his comments on Wednesday when he said he’ll never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag.

ESPN reports the Saints had a virtual team meeting yesterday to discuss Brees’ comments and punter Thomas Morstead described it as a vulnerable conversation. An unidentified Saints player said it got real in the discussion, another said we love Drew threw it all. We still haven’t heard from Malcom Jenkins who told Brees to shut up.

During a virtual town hall meeting hosted by the Advocate, athletics director Scott Woodward said he’s optimistic fans will be inside Tiger Stadium this fall. But a final decision will not come until next month. Woodward also said they are talking with Michigan about a non-conference matchup. And Woodward said he’d love to play Tulane, but the Green Wave wants a home-and-home and that doesn’t make much sense for LSU.
According to the NBA return to play plan, the Pelicans and 21 other teams will report on June 30th for a training camp and they’ll leave on July seventh for Orlando. The regular season would resume on July 31st. Locked on Pelicans podcast host Jake Madison says this will give players plenty of time to get back in game shape…

Eight regular season games will be played and there are six teams including the Pelicans battling for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

ESPN college basketball anlayst Dick Vitale went on a Baton Rouge radio show this morning and stood by his tweet that said the NCAA will soon inform LSU they’re investigating the men’s basketball program. But Vitale is not saying what allegations are being made against Will Wade’s program.

Oklahoma State men’s basketball received a one-year postseason ban today because a former associate head coach accepted bribes to influence student-athletes to certain agents and financial advisers.
