The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s office says 4 more arrests have been made in connection with the death of a 73-year-old Lake Arthur man. They say the latest charges come after an investigation revealing the four additional suspects aided 18-year-old Roderick Cawthorne and 26-year-old Brett Hebert in the murder of Charles Talen.

The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office says a 14-year-old student from H.L. Bourgeois High in Gray is under arrest accused of calling in 2 bomb threats to the school. Captain Dawn Foret says last Tuesday and yesterday there were two separate bomb threats they were emailed to the school’s principal…:

She says they traced the emails to the teen who admitted what he’d done. The suspect is charged with two coutns of False Communication of a Bomb Threat.

North Louisiana could be in for another winter weather event tomorrow night into Thursday. Meteorologist Davyon Hill with the National Weather Service in Shreveport says once again traffic conditions could be affected:

He says the line of the potential sleet Wednesday night stretches from Natchitoches to Monroe and areas west of that. Central Louisiana could be in for freezing rain.
