One Baton Rouge police officer is dead and another is fighting for his life after they engaged in a shootout with a homicide suspect yesterday afternoon. Police Chief Murphy Paul says the officers went to a home looking for 36-year-old Ronnie Kato, who is accused of killing another man earlier that morning. Kato is in police custody.
