Former LSU Quarterback Joe Burrow put to rest rumors today that he would pull an Eli Manning and not play for the Bengals who are expected to draft him with the number one pick in the NFL draft on April 23rd. Burrow spoke to reporters today at the draft combine and said if Cincinnati selects him number one, he’ll play for the Bengals. He looks forward to meeting with Cincinnati and other NFL teams while at the combine…

Burrow will not throw at the combine, but he’ll throw at LSU’s pro day on April 3rd.

Former LSU star Kevin Faulk is reportedly the Tigers new running backs coach. Faulk will replace Tommie Robinson, who is taking the same job at Texas A-and-M. Faulk has been LSU’s director of player development. The Lafayette native is one of the greatest running backs in LSU history and is still the school’s all-time leading rusher.

Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson will matchup with Lebron James for the first time in his NBA career tonight as New Orleans visits the Lakers. The Pels are 8-and-5 since Williamson began playing following knee surgery. New Orleans is just three games back of Memphis for the final playoff spot in the West, as the Grizzlies lost again last night, falling to the Clippers.

LSU Basketball Coach Will Wade is not happy his team will have a nine o’clock local time game in Gainesville on Wednesday night and then turn around have an 11 AM tip-off in the Maravich Center versus Texas A-and-M on Saturday. Wade says the Tigers are the only team in the league that’s had this short duration between games and it’s the second time this year.

ULM senior forward Tyree White has been named Sun Belt Player of the Week by College Sports Madness. He averaged 18 points and six rebounds a game as the Warhawks won two games last week.

In college baseball, Nicholls scored three runs in the ninth inning to beat McNeese four to three yesterday. Xane Washington had the walk-off hit.
