LSU football fans should start to prepare for a trip to Salt Lake City, Utah. The Tigers and the Utes have agreed to a home-and-home football series in 2031 and 2032. The first game will be played in Salt Lake and the Utes will return the trip to Tiger Stadium in 2032. This continues the trend of LSU signing up for more home and home series with Power Five Schools. Over the next decade, the Tigers will host Texas, UCLA, Clemson, Oklahoma and Arizona State at Tiger Stadium.

The LSU basketball team has fallen out of the AP Top 25. The Bayou Bengals were ranked 25th last week, but lost to Alabama 88-82 in their third defeat in their last four games. LSU has also fallen out of first place, but can get back into a first-place tie with a win over Kentucky tomorrow. The Wildcats will be in the PMAC for an eight PM tip.

In action tonight, Grambling is at Texas Southern, while Southern University hosts Mississippi Valley State.

The 11th ranked LSU Tigers won two of three from Indiana over the opening weekend of the college baseball season. The Bayou Bengals hit three home runs. Freshman Cade Doughty hit a dinger in his first college at bat. Coach Paul Mainieri liked what he saw from the rookie second baseman…

The Tigers host Southern tomorrow. The Jaguars went two and two at the Andre Dawson Classic in New Orleans over the weekend, including a seven to five loss to Grambling.

It was a great opening weekend for Louisiana Tech. They beat the Ragin Cajuns twic and defeated Southeastern Louisiana two to nothing. Junior Jarret Whorff was named Conference USA Pitcher of the Week. The junior from Texas threw 6.1 scoreless innings in a 10-0 win over U-L Lafayette yesterday.
