The LSU basketball team is gearing up for a big game tomorrow night as Big Blue comes to town. The Tigers and Kentucky Wildcats are set to tip-off at 8 PM. Kentucky is in first place in the SEC and they have won four in a row, since losing to Auburn. LSU is now in a tie for second place after losing to Alabama on Saturday. The Tigers have lost three of their last four since winning their first eight SEC games.

Conference USA has finalized its bonus play schedule. Louisiana Tech will visit first-place North Texas on Saturday. The Bulldogs are on a two-game winning streak after beating Florida Atlantic 81-68 on Saturday. Senior guard Derric Jean had a career-high 21 points to lead the way. Team Lebron won the NBA All-Star game last night. The Pelicans do not play again until Friday in Portland.

The 11th ranked LSU baseball team opened the 2020 season by taking two of three from Indiana. The Hoosiers avoided the sweep with a seven to two win on Saturday night. It was a close game in the eighth inning, but LSU failed to turn a double play on a ground ball to shortstop Hal Hughes. The mistake led to an unearned run and Coach Paul Mainieri says they learned some lessons during the first weekend…

Louisiana Tech baseball is off to a 3-0 start after blanking the Ragin Cajuns 10 to 0 yesterday. Parker Bates hit a grand slam in an eight-run seventh inning. U-L Lafayette is off to an 0-3 start as the Cajuns scored just three runs in three games.
