The Union Parish School Board is investigating an incident took place last month between Union Parish head football coach Joe Spatafor and Ruston head football coach Jerrod Baugh. Spatafora allegedly threatened and made some racially insensitive statements towards Baugh during a heated argument at a Baton Rouge bar after the first day of the LHSAA convention.

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s office has charged a Lafayette man with theft for overcharging a buyer for tickets to last month’s College Football National Championship game. Deputies say a victim from Shreveport thought he bought a pair of tickets in section 104 from Michael Dean Simmons at cost of 36-hundred dollars. But it turns out the seats were actually in the nose bleed and Simmons finally turned himself in yesterday.
