Bo Pelini is back as LSU’s defensive coordinator. In 2007 he helped the Tigers win a national championship and returns to Baton Rouge after heading coaching stops at Nebraska and Youngstown State. Safety Craig Steltz was an All-American on that 2007 team and says it’s great to have Coach Bo back

Orgeron appeared on a Baton Rouge radio station, ESPN 104-5 and said the players will love Pelini’s fiery personality and said former analyst Jorge Munoz could return to LSU as the team’s new passing game coordinator. He just left LSU for a job at Baylor.

Louisiana Tech head coach Skip Holtz has reportedly hired his son Trey Holtz as inside receivers coach. Trey will be a volunteer assistant, so he doesn’t violate the state’s nepotism laws.

Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson will play his first NBA game on the road tonight when New Orleans visits Cleveland. Williamson is coming off his first double-double performance, 21 points and 11 rebounds. In three games, he’s averaging 19 points, eight rebounds and shooting 67-percent from the field. Cleveland is coming off a 15-point win over Detroit.
