Ruston police are trying to determine who fatally shot a Grambling man at a party early Sunday morning in downtown Ruston. Jeffery Early was pronounced dead at a local hospital. When officers arrived to a report of shots fired, they encountered a large crowd trying to exit the venue on West Mississippi Avenue.
