There were reports after the SEC Championship game that Aranda was interested in a head coaching job at UNLV. Aranda admits that one day he would like to take over his own team, but that talks with UNLV were just preliminary and he is not planning on leaving LSU imminently.

The Pels shocked the bastketball world last night with a big win over the 2nd seed in the West, Denver. New Orleans ended up winning that game 112-100 on the back of their strong 4th quarter, bucking a trend of folding in the late periods of a game. Forward Brandon Ingram continued his scoring tear, dropping 31 points, while Jrue Holiday chipped in with 20 and 8. A finally healthly Derrick Favors nabbed 13 boards, with 8 assists and points as well.

Saints Coach Sean Payton says there are no plans to rest the starters for the regular-season finale at Carolina. Payton says they are still playing for a chance to get the first seed in the N-F-C playoffs or at least a bye.
