There is good economic development news today. Roy O Martin says it will invest 25-million dollars to modernize its facilities in Oakdale and Chopin. And London-based Liberty Steel Group says it will purchase a shuttered steel mill in LaPlace and reopen the facility in the second half of 2020 after they make improvements to the mill once operated by Bayou Steel Group.
