He says cops had a suspect in custody almost right away. One victim died at a hospital during surgery and another clings to life. The investigation is ongoing.

Law enforcement across the state will be patrolling throughout the Mardi Gras season to discourage impaired driving and to help reduce the number of crashes on Louisiana roadways.
