The Saints have re-signed linebacker Parys Haralson to a one-year contract. The 31-year-old has been with the Black and Gold the last two seasons after starting his career in San Francisco. Haralson was credited with 35 tackles and three sacks last season. The Saints also signed kicker Shayne Graham to a one-year deal. The 37-year-old place kicker connected on 19 of 22 fieldgoals last season.

In college hoops, Louisiana Tech holds on to first place in Conference USA with a 65-54 win over Florida Atlantic. Erik McCree and Alex Hamilton lead the way for the Bulldogs scoring 15 each. The Bulldogs are 10-2 in league play and host Florida International tomorrow night.

ULM blew past UL-Lafayette last night 67-55. Tylor Ongwae’s 21 lead the way for the Warhawks, followed by Majok Deng’s 16. The Cajuns were lead by Shawn Long with 13 points. ULM holds on to first place in the Sun Belt as they improve to 11-3 in conference action. They will welcome Appalachian State Saturday. UL-L will look to bounce back Saturday at Troy.

The 2015 college baseball season begins tonight with the second ranked LSU Tigers hosting the Kansas Jayhawks at Alex Box Stadium. Tigers shortstop Alex Bregman believes this team has what it takes to get back to the College World Series…

UL-Lafayette begin this season at Texas San Antonio. Sophomore right-hander Chris Charpentier will get the start on the mound tonight. He only made one start last season for the Cajuns, but Coach Tony Robichaux says he’s earned the opportunity to start on opening night…
