After 7 years at the helm of LSU, University President F. King Alexander is expected to step down. It appears he will be taking on the role of President of Oregon State University.
The House Judiciary Committee votes to send two Articles of Impeachment to the House floor for an Impeachment vote sometime next week. Northwest Louisiana Congressman Mike Johnson sits on the Committee and railed against the decision. He says the President’s actions related to Ukraine don’t meet the constitutional bar for Impeachment.

New Orleans Congressman Cedric Richmond also sat on the Committee. He voted to Impeach.
Law enforcement agencies are stepping up patrols through New Year’s Day with the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. Louisiana Highway Safety Commission executive director Lisa Freeman says the campaign is an effective one, with a dipping trend in drunk driving fatalities.
