Louisiana Congressmen Cedric Richmond, of New Orleans, and Mike Johnson, of Shreveport, serve on the House Judiciary Committee.

Trial of a man accused of killing four elderly men in the Capitol Area began Tuesday. Several doctors examined defendant Ryan Sharpe and reported he was not insane at the time of the shootings, and judges declared him competent to stand trial. Jurors will have to decide whether Sharpe knew right from wrong. Other than appearance, there’s no connection between his victims.

New legislation introduced by Senator Bill Cassidy aims to incentivize Medicare Part D recipients to choose cheaper generic prescriptions when available. Kevin Barnhart has the story…
