New Orleans Police have arrested two suspects in connection with shooting of a dozen people on Canal Street December first. Police Chief Shaun Ferguson says they executed search warrants this morning in St Mary’s Parish and arrested 21-year-old Stafford Starks, on eight counts of attempted murder. Also arrested, 22-year-old LaBryson Polidore, on 10 counts of attempted murder.

Senator John Kennedy and Attorney General Jeff Landry warn Republicans not to allow Democrats any influence in the selection of the next Speaker of the Louisiana House.
