The State Fire Marshal’s Office announces the arrest of a deputy on malfeasance charges linked to the death of a police K-9. Corporal Robert Fain from Bossier Parish faces several charges including a count of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.

A report by the D.C. based Environmental Integrity Project shows the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality saw it’s budget cut by 35 percent between 2008 and 2018.
