Nicholls had less drama in its game as the Colonels defeated North Dakota 24-6. S-L-U and Nicholls are on the road in the second round of the F-C-S playoffs. The Lions are at Montana, while Nicholls faces North Dakota State, the three-time defending F-C-S champions. N-D-S-U averages 18-thousand for their home games at the Bison Dome.

The Saints will be back in the Superdome Sunday to host San Francisco. The winner will have the best record in the N-F-C.
