The Saints are now ranked fifth in the NFL in rush defense after Atlanta had 143 yards on the ground in their upset win over New Orleans on Sunday. This Sunday, New Orleans faces Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers are not a great running team, averaging 101 yards on the ground. But they lead the NFL in rush defense, allowing 78 yards a contest.

In college basketball last night, the Ragin Cajuns lost their road opener as they fell to T-C-U 98-65. The Horned Frogs hit a school-record 18 three-pointers.

Louisiana Tech dribbled past Wiley College 98-52 as Kalob Ledoux had 18 points. Northwestern State guard Brian White had a career-high 26 points, but the Demons lost to Rice 80-74. And LSU is at V-C-U.
