And LSU would like to put pressure on Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who has helped orchestrate the nation’s fifth-best passing attack. But Tua hasn’t played since suffering a high ankle sprain three weeks ago.

Louisiana Tech will also face a good quarterback today when the Bulldogs host North Texas for homecoming. Mean Green Quarterback Mason Fine has thrown for 27 touchdown passes. Kick-off is at 3 PM.

ULM faces a tough test this afternoon at Malone Stadium as they welcome Georgia State to Monroe. The Panthers are 6-and-2, 3-and-1 in the Sun Belt and beat ULM 46-14 in Atlanta last season. A loss today for the Warhawks would mean they would have to win their final three games in order to become bowl eligible.

In the Southland, Southeastern Louisiana is at Central Arkansas. The sixth-ranked Bears are in first place in the league with a five and one record. The Lions are in a three-way tie for second place.

Nicholls is part of that three-way tie. The Colonels host Houston Baptist. H-B-U has lost four in a row. Northwestern State hosts Lamar. The Demons have won six of the last seven games played between these two teams.

And Grambling hosts Alcorn State. The Tigers need a win today to have a shot at winning at the SWAC Western Division title. Kick-off is at 2 PM.
In basketball, the Pelicans lost to Toronto 122 to 104, LSU beat Bowling Green 88-79. Javonte Smart had 21 points, Skylar Mays had 18.
