Today is the second day of early voting and the first day, which was Saturday, was a single-day record for most ballots ever cast 89,623. That’s 25-hundred more votes than the previous record set during the 2016 presidential election. Early voting will continue through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 6 PM at select locations.

Research indicates the upcoming holiday shopping season will see an uptick in spending from consumers. Kevin Barnhart has the story.

It’s the first workday after the time change so can it affect your health? LSU Health Sciences New Orleans Chief Cardiologist Dr. Frank Smart says in the spring when we lose an hour, emergency rooms do see an increase in the number of heart attacks.

A study out of Colorado found that there is a 21-percent decrease in the risk of a heart attack when the clock falls back one hour.
