Number one LSU hopes to break an eight-game losing streak to number two Bama this Saturday in Tuscaloosa for what’s being dubbed the Game of the Century II.

Tiger Rag assistant editor Tyler Nunez says if the Tigers are going to snap that streak, it’ll likely be because Nick Saban will have to contend with the best LSU offense he’s ever faced…

Cut 7 (11) “…havent had.”

LSU has the number 4 highest-scoring offense in the league at 47 points per game, just a touch behind no. 2 Bama’s 49 points per game.

In a strange twist, it’s the Purple and Gold’s defense that will keep fans awake at night this week. Nunez says because of that, this game may come down to who has the ball last.

Cut 8 (08) “…of old”

LSU’s scoring defense is 22nd in the nation at 20 points per game. Bama sits at 10th with 15 points per game.

Talent-wise Nunez says this LSU team isn’t particularly better than past teams that have fallen short of topping the Tide. The difference is we’re actually utilizing that talent effectively…

Cut 9 (12)  “scoring”

LSU’s last victory over Bama was in 2011, a 9-6 win in what was called the Game of the Century. Bama ultimately got the last laugh that season, crushing LSU in the 2012 National Championship 21-0.

It’s the first workday after the time change so can it affect your health?  LSU Health Sciences New Orleans Chief Cardiologist Dr. Frank Smart says in the spring when we lose an hour, and emergency rooms do see an increase in the number of heart attacks.

Cut 14 (12) “…heart attacks.”

Smart says the loss of sleep is an added stressor and when you compare this time of year to days following the time change in the spring the number of cardiac issues differs.

Cut 15 (12) “…heart attack.”

While the fall time change might benefit those with cardiac issues, hospitals report complaints of depressive symptoms to increase 11 percent this time of year, due to lack of sunlight exposure. Smart says the time change does throw off our circadian rhythm so if you have health issues pay attention to abnormal signs.

Cut 16  (12)  ….in the fall.

March 8, 2020 is the next time change.
