In an independent poll of over 700 Louisiana voters taken on Monday, Governor Edwards has a slim edge over Republican challenger Eddie Rispone, 50-to-47 percent. Only three percent are undecided and New Orleans pollster Ed Chervenak conducted the survey….

A cold front has passed through and Canadian air has dramatically dropped temperatures compared to yesterday. State Climatologist Barry Keim says this is the beginning of a cold stretch of days.
