Joe Burrow is starting to feature at the top of mock drafts as a result of his record breaking year at LSU. Bama’s Tua Tagovialoa was the consensus top-rated player heading into the season, but NFL Analyst Mike Detillier says Burrow could surpass him if the right team likes his match in their system.

Ohio State defensive end Chase Young is now regarded as the top overall rated player in college, but the top of this year’s draft will be full of QB needy teams.

The NCAA has long been resistant to paying college athletes as they’ve wanted to protect their amateur status. 

A fire destroys the Livingston Parish home of a murder suspect that is currently in jail.  The home of Errol Hicks burned down Monday.  State Fire Marshal spokesperson Ashley Rodrigue says the blaze was a very destructive fire making the investigation a challenging one.

Hicks is facing a second-degree murder charge stemming from an act of domestic violence for the September death of Carol Hutchinson.
