The first few ads of the governor’s run-off race are in rotation as the first barrage in what one analyst says will be the most expensive one-month period ever in Louisiana political history. Political consultant Roy Fletcher says an incredible 20-million dollars will likely be spent over the next few weeks.

An investigation of injuries to multiple State Police cadets during training last week results in the reassignment of three employees responsible for training. There are accusations the injuries resulted from hazing, but State Police Colonel Kevin Reeves would not label the incidents as such. He did say the training went beyond “normal parameters.”

The National Weather Service gives an area of low pressure near the Bay of Campeche a medium chance of developing on its way to the northern gulf coast this weekend.

St Charles Parish authorities arrested the aunt of a two year that was left in a vehicle on October 4th and charged her with negligent homicide. Police say 48-year-old Lezly Sanabria told them she thought someone else took her niece inside, but the child was left in the car in Destrehan while the aunt was shopping in Metairie. Sanabria was arrested Wednesday and transported to the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center.
