TV viewership for the LSU-Florida game was the highest for the network in nearly two years. On average there were six-point-four million viewers and it peaked late in the fourth quarter at seven-point-four million.

A University of Alabama student has been arrested on a terrorizing charge after he allegedly called in a threat to Tiger Stadium, during the LSU-Florida game. 19-year-old Connor Bruce Croll was arrested in Tuscaloosa and he’ll face charges in Baton Rouge.

The media picks LSU basketball to finish third in the SEC after winning the conference championship with a 16-and-2 league record last season. Senior guard Skylar Mays earned a spot on the league’s preseason second team. He averaged 13 points a game last season. Kentucky is the favorite to win the SEC, followed by Florida, LSU, Auburn and then Tennessee.

The 5-and-1 Saints are off today and tomorrow the players will begin to work on the Chicago Bears. The Monsters of Midway are allowing just 14 points a game. But one of their best defensive players was put on injured reserve today. Former Saint and pro bowl defensive tackle Akeim Hicks is out with an elbow injury. The Bears are a three-point favorite.

Lakeshore High School in Mandeville is the new number one team in Class Four-A. The Titans are 6-0 and coming off a shutout win over Archbishop Hannan. St. Thomas More fell from the top spot after back-to-back losses to Catholic of Baton Rouge and Westgate. Karr is ranked third, Neville has moved up a spot to fourth, Northwood is ranked fifth and Bastrop has moved up three spots to number six.
