The Saints are 5-and-1 for the second straight season after a gritty 13-6 win over the Jaguars in Jacksonville keeping the team undefeated in games started by Teddy Bridgewater. Coach Sean Payton says it wasn’t pretty, but it turned out to be a good team win….

The Saints only touchdown came in the fourth quarter when Bridgewater connected with tight end Jared Cook on a four-yard touchdown pass. The Black and Gold defense was outstanding, keeping the Jags out of the end zone, holding Jacksonville to 226 yards.

Carolina also won to stay one game back of New Orleans for first place in the NFC South. The Panthers defeated the Buccaneers 37-26 in London.

LSU’s 42-28 exhilarating win over Florida coupled with Georgia’s stunning upset loss to South Carolina helped the Tigers climb up to number two in the Associated Press Top 25 poll. The offensive line was a big key in the Tigers win over the Gators as they held a good Florida defense to zero sacks. Quarterback Joe Burrow says the offensive line took it personally that they got beat up bad in the Swamp last year…

LSU will play its first game on C-B-S this Saturday as the Tigers will visit Mississippi State for a 2:30 kick-off.

The Pelicans remain undefeated in preseason play as New Orleans defeated the Spurs 123 to 114 in San Antonio. Zion Williams had 22 points and 10 rebounds.
