New Orleans hosts Tampa Bay on Sunday. A ceremony is set for that day to induct former defensive end Will Smith into the team’s Ring of Honor at the Mercedes Benz Superdome. Smith played for the Black and Gold from 2004 to 2013 and racked up 67.5 sacks. He was fatally shot in April of 2016 during an argument with another motorist in Uptown New Orleans.

LSU running back Lanard Fournette has left the team. The little brother of former LSU star Leonard Fournette, was set to see his role on the team decrease as Coach Ed Orgeron looked to get more playing time for freshmen John Emery and Tyrion Davis-Price.

Orgeron says pass rusher K’Lavon Chaisson will likely play Saturday against Utah State after missing a couple of games with an ankle injury. But other starters on defense, Rashard Lawrence, Glen Logan and Michael Divinity are not expected to play against the Aggies.
