Caddo Parish has set aside 500-thousand dollars to remove a confederate monument that stands outside of the Parish courthouse in Shreveport. The United Daughters of the Confederacy owns the monument and has been given 90 days to remove it, if they do no act, the Parish would look at taking ownership of the monument.

The Louisiana Health Department has cited over 150 restaurants for failing to inform customers that the seafood they were selling was imported. Enforcement of the new law started September 1st and LaRose Representative Truck Gisclair says it is about creating transparency for consumers…
