Former LSU pole vaulting star and Lafayette native Mondo Duplantis won a silver medal at the World Championships in Qatar.

In the NL Wild Card Game last night, Washington scored three runs in the eighth inning to stun Milwaukee four to three. One of those runs for the Nationals was scored by former LSU star and Lafayette native Andrew Stevenson, who entered the game as a pinch-runner.
