Looks like the upward trend in the gasoline price is officially hitting us this week. According to the American Automobile Association the current statewide average price for a gallon of regular is $1.90 which is up 2 cents from yesterday.

Governor Bobby Jindal’s numbers have slipped among Iowa Republican voters according to Bloomberg Politics and the Des Moines Register. When asked who their first choice would be for a presidential candidate, just two-percent said Jindal. But Pollster Ann Selzer says it’s too early to count Jindal out, but he does have a long road ahead of him…:

Jindal has not officially announced he’s running for president. This afternoon the Governor will be in Lake Charles to make an economic development announcement at 1:30.

The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s office says a teacher in the community is behind bars for allegedly being sexually involved with a student. Lt. Tommy Carnline says detectives received a warrant to search the home of 28-year-old Donald Gene Parker III…:

Parker’s charges including pornography involving juveniles and indecent behavior with juveniles. He is a teacher at Glenmora High School according to their website.
