State Fire Marshal Butch Browning is commemorating the anniversary of 9/11 by seeking donations to construct a museum to house the Spirit of Louisiana fire truck that was built by donations and sent to New York following the attacks.
Browning hopes that same spirit of giving will occur in funding this project as the truck has a history of not only serving the people of New York but also the people of New Orleans.

LSU QB Joe Burrow is in the Heisman conversation after putting up 749 yards and nine touchdowns through just two games.
Burrow saw his odds rise from 200 to 1 to five to one with some oddsmakers after dissecting Texas. US Today beat reporter Glenn Guilbeau says Burrow has a real shot.
Burrow filled the box score while maintaining an incredible 81.8 percent completion percentage.
Guilbeau says the star QBs for the number one and two ranked teams are still his favorites to win, but Burrow is right there in the second tier of candidates.
Tua still has the best odds in Vegas at three to one, but Burrow is now tied with Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence and Oklahoma’s Jalen Hurts at five to one.
LSU’s scheme puts Burrow front and center, much like it did for the team’s last Heisman candidate Leonard Fournette, but he’ll face the same make or break test.
Bama running back Derrick Henry would ultimately take home the trophy in 2015 after Leonard’s post-Crimson Tide tumble.

A Haughton man has been arrested on charges that he had sexual relations with juveniles and solicited minors over the internet the past several years.
45-year-old Saunders King Jr. was suspected in a similar case involving a pre-teen in 2016 but was ultimately not arrested. Bossier Sherriff’s spokesperson Bill Davis says that all changed recently.
King faces Computer Solicitation of a Minor, 1st Degree Rape, Molestation of a Juvenile, and Felony Carnal Knowledge.
Davis says the office is glad the victim came forward, and it’s important that law enforcement create a welcoming environment for juvenile victims. He says their work with the Gingerbread House is a good example.
Davis says the case is an important reminder for parents to keep a close eye on their kid’s digital conversations. He says this case was cracked when one of the parents took an active role.
